November 2014-The first ultrasound brought a shocking surprise when we heard two heartbeats! Our Doc cautiously warned us that one heartbeat was slower and that lump o’cells on the screen was noticeably smaller than the first one. There was a 20% chance that Sprout #2 would not make it and would be absorbed back into my body. We had to wait two weeks to find out the fate of Sprout #2. I remember that being a very long 2 weeks! We showed up for the second ultrasound and the Doc got right to it. TWO HEARTBEATS!! And Sprout #2 was noticeably catching up in size. Korak gave a cheer and high-fived the Doc!
