Just a quick update with some more delightful pics………..Alex got his IV removed so he’s off all meds and sugar water. I was so glad to see that IV come out!! Alex is being weaned out of the Isolette so they are monitoring his temperature to make sure he can maintain his own heat. That means he gets to wear clothes! He’s swaddled up in the most recent pic and he also got a hat for warmth. Alivianna is a little behind since she still has to be on antibiotics, but she will be coming off of the sugar water and meds within the next few days. I will be so glad to see her IV come out too! Both babies took a turn under the lights, which they didn’t seem to mind much. Alivianna is still basking in them today. Both babies are showing excellent feeding instincts and we’re all trying to figure the whole breastfeeding thing out.
My heart is bursting! By the way, all of the linens and tiny clothing and hats are provided from donations. So if you’re ever looking for a place to donate receiving blankets, swaddlers, tiny onesies, Pampers sensitive wipes, or tiny hats-the NICU at University of Utah can always use help. Thanks for the love and support.
