Happy Babies!!

The giggles, smiles, and cooing noises are in full swing at our house! Alex is definitely leading the way, but Livi can reward you with the sweetest open mouth smiles too! She’s too quick for me, I have yet to catch a good one on camera yet. My free time to take pictures and play baby games is about up. It’s back to work on Tuesday for this mama. Nanny Amelia is joining us and I think she’ll be great with the Sprouts. Four months brought great news from the doctor. The Sprouts are finally on the board for full term babies!

Update on Alexander-Growing like crazy, 24 inches and 13 lbs 1 oz. He is practicing his arching and kicking moves on the changing table and he holds himself up like a champ on his tummy. Alex still forgets he’s a twin sometimes-he’s pretty sure he should be the center of my universe. On the other hand, he is very sweet to his sister and acted very happy to have a visit from his new buddy, Bridger.

This is Kirk’s idea of the perfect Sunday, after the adventure, of course. Football, cuddles, and comfy pj’s 🙂

Update on Alivianna-Also growing and catching up with a little baby fat! 23 inches and 11 lbs 15 oz. Alivianna has a very sweet disposition and she is experimenting with different tones. She rarely cries, but she has her ways of getting attention (especially in the middle of the night)! The 4 month appointment was a little rough for Livi, she had a hard time smiling for the pictures! The babies relaxed by the end of the night and were sleeping peacefully, blissfully forgetting the trauma of shots! Livi is very tactile and she likes to hold and grab things. She is already trying to hold her bottle!

Adventure Sundays recently have consisted of a walk by the Capitol and chill time with lots of puppy friends at Memory Grove, a walk on the Jordan River Trail while mama trained for her physical fitness test, and a trip to Park City to see daddy run a 5K at Park City Mtn Resort. In addition, we had a pretty epic Saturday adventure at the pool! Our friend Louise joined in for the fun too.

The Sprouts seemed to like the water. They were tired afterwards! Both of them floated on their backs quite naturally. We had such a fantastic weekend before I head back to work. We feel so very lucky and we appreciate all of the love and support that you all provide and send. The Sprouts love visitors, so just let us know if you ever want to stop by. Wish me luck as I get back to work this week!

  1. Good luck back to work Jalaine. I’m sure it’ll be hard to leave the babies, but they should be fine. Can’t wait to see them & you & Kirk in Nov.
