First time that I got to hold the babies together in the NICU. I was really missing them being inside me, with me all the time. An overwhelming peaceful feeling washed over me. It was such a difficult time, but it finally all came together and I knew that things would really be okay.
K has finally figured out how to juggle them both, but it still looks like he’s going to drop one sometimes! They are getting a little more squirmy at home. They eat about every 3 hours and they are each eating 2.5 ounces. Alivianna made it past 5 pounds! Alexander is now 6 pounds! Both babies passed their recent car seat test, so they will be cruising in style soon enough! They got to cuddle with their Hawkes grandparents on Saturday, June 13th for the first time. Grandma and Grandpa Eisele came into town from Wisconsin on June 18th and got to meet the Sprouts for the first time. Grandma Toni brought some darling outfits for the babies since they are still wearing Preemie stuff. Alex will be graduating to Newborn size soon though.
I left the house for the first time since we all got home and it felt awesome! I came home to find this…….
He’s developing baby skills………..
Cuteness abounds at our home!
Thank you for all the support and love that you send our way. It means so much to our family.
Loving every minute of being here. The twins are adorable & so sweet. Grandma
Amazing! I am so stinkin’ happy for all 4 of you. WowZers, 3 weeks in the NICU was nothing…good job beautiful babies on growing and feeding! And K tandem feeding, seriously crazy cool, that is an ultimate pro-dad skill. You both keep your heads up in the next few months, although it’s difficult some days/nights you already know there are significantly more laughs/happiness than tears. Wishing you all the goodness and success possible and a lifetime of great health and strength for those beautiful babies. Do you call them by their “big names” or do you have nick-names for the Sprouts? Just wondering. Love the monikers. Let me know if you need anything, ever! Seeing all these pics. just reminds me how much I wish I could do it all again. Best ride on my life this parenthood-stuff 😉
It is so wonderful to see these gorgeous babes of yours! Thanks for all the pics! How fun it is to see Kirk, mr-no-babies-for-me, looking like a master at this whole baby thing!! I remember the first question he asked me when he met my twins… He said, “ok, so which one is the evil twin?” hee hee! Now here he is with his own dastardly duo!! I LOVE IT!! And Jalaine, you look amazing! Love hugs and kisses to you ALL!
