Ultrasound Looks Good!

We had another ultrasound today and got to take a fresh look at the beasties. All the parts were where they are supposed to be and we got a clean bill of health. The sprouts are even chilling out head down together which is good. They can still flip around I guess but at least they are comfy in there for now.

I even got a vaccination out of the way which I needed to make sure I would be allowed into the room if Jalaine has a c-section. (Which seems pretty likely with twins.) It was a t-dap which is definitely not the same as a t-pap. I’m not actually sure if a t-pap is a thing but it made the nurses laugh and Jalaine roll her eyes so on balance a win all around.

I bumped into this video today. I’m getting sentimental in my old age apparently and this kind of thing hits me right in the feels. If our wise friends and family have any tips to add please do. (Though one of the tips is to ignore 90% of what people say so… uhh… I’m sure yours will be the good ones.)

The conversation was a little intimidating with the doc. We’ve reached the stage where we should have a “go bag” ready just in case. Even though it would be pretty early, at any moment Jalaine’s body could flip the switch and it could be game on. Hopefully nothing will be happening for a couple months but it could. Like tomorrow. Or now.

So yeah…

Wow…

I’m not freaking out but it definitely has my attention!

  1. As a side note-we got to see the first 3D pictures of the Sprouts which was amazing. Baby boy is 3 lbs. 2 oz. and baby girl is catching up quick at 3 lbs. 1 oz. As I was putting some baby clothes in the closet of the nursery, Kirk had a “getting real” moment of envisioning actual babies in the clothes. Poor guy! Nursery decor is a work in progress for the next few weeks.

    1. So happy to see these updates with good news. Can’t wait to see all the little outfits on the babies. I’m sure Kirk will have fun helping to dress them!!
